Fun February!

Even though February is a short month, we've been busy!

Jake's basketball league is thankfully finally over. While Jake loved it, we were pretty happy for it to be over. Now it's soccer season for our little sport! Mother Nature doesn't seem ready for it yet because we're already a few weeks in and it's Mother Nature 2, soccer team 0.

On Saturday, February 7, 2015, Gordon and Melissa welcomed their sweet new baby, Abigail Grace. Alex and I were so lucky to meet this sweet girl and are excited for the new Kennedy Family!

Look at the sweet valentines!Alex was the lucky one who got to go to go to Jake's Valentine's Day party!

Dorry & Zayde came for a visit over the long President's Day weekend. What a great way to start the weekend with Alex bringing us all early Valentine's flowers!

He especially loves giving flowers to his baby girl!

High tea with Dorry & Zayde. Jake & Allie had no idea how much they loved tea until they saw all the cakes and treats involved!

On Monday night we celebrated Dorothy's birthday with dinner at one of our favorite spots, Chez Zee.

Bubba joined us for dinner prompting Allie's reaction to two Grandpas in one place!

Just a few more with Dorry & Zayde

Poor Baby Ryan. He has no idea what he's in for from his big sister and honorary big sis!

Jake has been super interested in geography and especially interested in learning about the states. Thanks to an app called Stack the States Jake is learning state capitols, flags, which states border which and more.

At Hill he's also learning about the United States and recently he and his classmates paired up to do an artistic interpretation of "America the Beautiful". Jake and his best buddy Coen's picture is the top right hand corner, "for purple mountain majesty."

Jake's class had a "show-off day" in his class. He showed me all his different workbooks, the different areas of his classroom and introduced me to the class pet.

Our next special visitor for the month was Auntie Rachel! It was a quick but very fun visit. They could have played and played all day but Auntie Rachel had a different idea!

We have a long history of paint your own pottery with my mom and Rachel had the idea that she wanted to share it with the kids. It was super fun and they LOVED it!

And our finished works that I just finally remembered to pick up!

My favorite picture from the weekend!

Saturday night we met Bubba out for a fun dinner and came home to find these sleeping beauties.

And apparently we were still tired on Sunday!

I guess the benefits of having a big brother is that Allie is hard core into Superheroes. Daddy loves it too and has been feeding her obsession (as has mommy).

Jake had dress like your favorite literary character at school and since Flash did start in comic books that was Jake's choice.

Love these lovies especially when they're so sweet together. The perfect picture to end a sweet month.
