The Adventures of Jake and Allie: October 2018

With August came the start of soccer season! Jake is happily back with the Lonestar Soccer Club!

A fun night out with the Burton's and Jake's introduction to pool!

Last vacation of the summer and a weekend away from the heat in Colorado!

After breakfast, we headed to Denver! After lunch and some bad directions, we headed to the Denver Aquarium.

After the aquarium, we headed to see the Rockies play at Coors Field!

We also met up with our friend and former Austinite, Christian and his girlfriend.

We left the game and Alex and friends to go back to the hotel. We took a pedicab, which the kids thought was hysterical! Especially when another driver challenged our driver to a race!

We closed up our night and the trip with

dessert for them and a glass of wine for me!

So. Much. Fun!

Back in Austin and getting ready for back-to-school! At Meet the Teachers, Jake wasn't interested in having his picture taken at all. Thankfully, Allie was happy to pose!

We're really excited about both of their teachers! Allie's 1st-grade teacher, Mrs. Shah, seems awesome and is who she really wanted. Jake has 3 teachers: Ms. Cotton (Science), Mrs. Salome (Math) and Mr. Wilder (Language Arts).

The weekend before school started Jake had his first out of town soccer tournament of the season! He and I drove up Friday afternoon. We had dinner with a few teammates and had fun just the two of us! He had an early game on Saturday which they won. We had lunch and then Alex took over so I could head back to Austin. They won their second game on Saturday too!
