Awesome April

Same dog? April fools joke? Nope, Kirby got a haircut!
These zombie looking children were playing a pretty epic April Fools joke on their parents who wondered (not really) what happened to them.

With video games, Jake (and Allie) don't mind going to the orthodontist.
Haircut or not, that's a dirty dog!

After a week at my annual conference for work I came home and got ready for a visit from Mimi and Bubba.
Lunch with Allie at Hill.
Bubba and I took Kirby to the dog park and for a much needed bath.

 Ready for seder
Kirby had his own version of the shank bone!
I didn't do a good job of taking pictures but we had a nice seder and Jake and Allie were lucky to have all 4 of their grandparents in one place!

Saturday morning soccer!

Allie's favorite spot during the game!

With guest player and friend, Wesley!
When your granddaughter wants to take you for a manicure...what's a Bubba to do.
It was a fun visit and we were so glad to have them both visit.

Another soccer Saturday and Allie's last game.
Kirby cheering on Allie

Jake's turn
Fun dinner with Uncle Warren and facetiming with Auntie Rachel and Dillon!

March Madness (& fun)

Hello, March!
Even though summer is still months away, Allie is ready for camp. Heading to a trial weekend away at CYJ!
While Allie was at Camp, Jake and Alex went to San Antonio for a Spurs game. Kirby and I stayed home, blissfully happy to have the house to ourselves.

Meanwhile, at camp, Allie's bunk and the winner's of the Winter Camp talent show!

Weekend soccer!

Our artist! Jake's artwork was shown at the district-wide art show.

Allie's class learning about Texas history at the Bob Bullock Museum!
Dogicorn?

Allie's Kindergarten BFF Safia was visiting from Toronto so we met up with her and friend Emily (and her sister) for some Amy's Ice Cream fun.
And a playdate the next day!

Mrs. Shah's recess hair salon!

Start of vacation selfies!

We spent the night in Albuquerque but then headed to Santa Fe the next morning. It was a beautiful day and we met Cousins Ashley, Adan, Feliz and Alonso at the park to play.

After a stop at a kombucha brewery, we headed to Cindy & Murray's for dinner with the fam!
So much fun!
Little cousins and big cousins!

Who doesn't love a nice hotel room and a fluffy bathrobe!

Heading to Taos with a stop at the Trujillo's Farm.

 Taos and SNOW!

Allie's snow-corn?
Ready for our first day of skiing!

Jake and I loved the skiing right away. Allie and Alex weren't quite as sure about it all. Day 2 started with just me and Jake heading to the mountain. Allie wasn't feeling well so she and Alex spent the morning at the condo.

Allie started to feel better so she and Alex came and met me for lunch!
Our skiing superstar!

Game night with the Menfi's and Garner families!

On to day 3!

Go, Alex Go!

Go, Allie, Go!
I sprung Jake from ski school and we headed out on our own for a bit. It was super fun and he was much faster and fear-free!

After a bit, Jake ditched me for skiing with Dylan.
So proud of these two! Their first day didn't go as hoped, then Allie was sick day 2 and it would have been easy for either or both of them to give up but they didn't. They went back and both did great and in the end, loved it and can't wait for next year!
Relaxing after our last day of skiing.

From snow to sunshine! A trip to the dog park before we're back to school!
Allie kind of helped me giving Kirby a bath. :)

Jake and I were lucky enough to go with friends to see Holocaust survivor and step-sister of Anne Frank, Eva Schloss. It was impactful and I'm so glad that Jake was able to hear her story.
Fluffy Kirby! See you in April!
