February went quickly and was filled with fun and birthdays!
Happy birthday to Auntie Rachel, Russell, Dorry, Josh, Mimi and Brenna! I hope I got everyone!
Jake's class also had a number of birthdays! Allie tagged along on a couple and may have had the most fun of all! The first party was for Jake's friend Hank at Jumpoline. While Jake and his friends ran around and Allie kept right up with the best of them....kind of.
The second party was at Pump it Up for Jake's friend Jaxton. Should your child/children requires your participation at Pump it Up you're in for quite a workout. Jake mastered the slide years ago and below me and Allie check it out. Needless to say, our little daredevil loved it!
We started the month with a huge house revelation...the guest room was in the wrong place! We swapped the guest room with the "man-room" and it is so much better. Why we didn't think of it originally I have no idea. Thanks to Bubba, Alex and I were able to furniture shop without the little people and we got to remember what it was like to go to a mall in the middle of the day without any children!
It's been very nice to have Bubba around for a little extra help and to have time with the kiddos. Allie has easily wrapped him around her finger and she can always get him to read to her. Jake loves getting picked up from school by Bubba and is excited for a sleepover in his new condo. Speaking of which congrats to Bubba on his new place. It's super cute and in a wonderful neighborhood.
Meeting one of Bubba's neighbors
Jake and Allie came out with us for a little shopping for Bubba's condo. You can see just how helpful they were!
Valentine's Day morning hugs and kisses! I tried to get posed pictures but there was just altogether to much silliness!
I must admit I love how much this girl likes to sleep! She saw her napmat from school and decided she should take a nap. I'm sure I'll regret this but when she's a teenager and driving me crazy, all she'll have to do is remind me that she slept as a baby and all will be ok!
Jake started taking a Saturday morning music class with his buddy, Jacob. Allie really loves the class because while Jake and Jacob are jamming out, she gets to play with Max. Pictures are from two weeks of classes.
Hey, why don't we get to go in?
The Band!
Sharing his goldfish, it must be love!
We were happy to have at 3/5 of the Viviers come to visit for the President's Day weekend. Super fun as always although we missed Michael and Josh. Knowing our audience, we stocked up on wine and brought in ribs and had a great time just chilling at home. Allie and Jake certainly loved being loved on by Pipi, Brenna and Talia!
Talia and her two biggest fans!
Pipi knows the way to Allie's heart...Read to her!
Bren and smushy-faced, crazy hair Allie
Pipi always can make Jake laugh!
Playing with Tali
Jake and Talia went to the store with Alex for dessert. They came back with the sweetest dessert possible, ice cream and pickles for Talia.
They're so darn cute!
Thanks to Dorry's care package we enjoyed Purim with her hamentashen! Jake shows just how much he's enjoying this special treat!
Allie has graduated from the high chair to the booster seat at the table. She loves being able to sit with us all and especially Jake!
There was just something about Miss Allie in her "Rock and Roll Preschool" shirt, her jean jacket and of course her shades!
We went and toured Jake's school for next year, Hill Elementary. It was exciting to see where he would be next year and a little overwhelming at the same time. How is this sweet boy going to kindergarten?????
Sweet boy out on a shopping trip!
Jake has recently found his artistic side and Allie is discovering it as well. Mostly she likes to take the caps on and off the markers but they're so cute playing together.
Would you look at those curls????
And to finish out February, a little playroom fun and other general cuteness courtesy of Jake and Allie!
Stripes day!
This might just be Allie's favorite spot in the house! She loves standing up there and making her selections.
Close up pictures from our photographer, Jake.
And thanks, Auntie Lisa for my super cute coat! It's a good thing that mommy and I don't share clothes yet or she says she'd steal it! See you next month!
