Let the summertime fun begin!

 Walking into summertime with Kirby!
 Celebrating Father's Day!

 Alex took Jake to iFly!

Officially ready for camp!

 See you, Kirbs!
I finally got to take Jake (and these boys) to camp!

So excited to finally see the 6 Points campus even if it sadly the last year here. The former boarding school was sold this year but we'll find out where camp will be soon!
Loved getting to see Jake reunite with one of his favorite counselors, Blake.

Sitting at the Greensboro Airport, I treated myself to a nice big glass of wine while waiting for my flight and got to think about what a special day it was. I loved seeing Jake in his happy place and people who absolutely love him and were all so complimentary about what a great kid he is.
Visiting with family in Plano
(and rockin' new kicks!)
Allie and her fellow castmates from Sing! She played 2 roles, the rocker porcupine and the llama bank manager!

On the way to take Allie to camp, we dropped Kirby off at my sweet friend (and former assistant) Sara and her boyfriend's house. They have a lab, Charlie, who is 6-months younger than Kirby. They played and played and played the whole time we were gone.

Allie is CYJ ready! She's been ready since her first visit in January!

So excited for her and for both of the kids to be at camps but the parents are ready for vacation!

May Days!

For poor Kirby, May started off a bit rough!
The cone of shame post-surgery.

It was a party filled kind of a day for Allie!
First, a pool party for her friend, Wade.
Followed by a very cool party at a stable in town for her friend, Reese.

He's still my baby!
Mother's Day Tea with Allie and the Shahmadillos!
Shoe twinning!

Celebrating Mother's Day with Dorry!

End-of-year soccer party for Allie's Pink Unicorns!

Soccer tournament fun with 44!
Always happy to watch him play...
even in the rain and mud!

Day 2

Cheering on another Lonestar team!
Author Day for the Shamadillos!

Last Day of 1st grade!
Last day of 5th grade &
last day at Hill Elementary!

Our graduate!

Lauren Weinberg was Jake's kindergarten teacher. She left Hill a few years later but came back for graduation! It was priceless watching the kids who were in her class see her!
 Pre-K to 5th-grade graduation!
The following weekend, we headed to Dallas for Memorial Day with the cuzzies.

After a great weekend with the Vivier's and Noonie & Papa, Alex took us to the airport where we headed to Oregon to see Mimi & Bubba.
Flying into Portland
Meet Henry Henry. He lives at Bubba's and he's now a bit of a celebrity after posing him and posting his adventures around Eugene.

Mimi gifted Jake and Allie with an experience from my childhood and anyone who grew up in Eugene...hours and hours searching for the perfect items at Hiron's!

Part of our visit was to help my dad get ready to move to a new place that is beautiful and feels like being on vacation.
The Eugene Hotel Duck will be missed.

We headed back to Austin and got stuck in some bad weather. They diverted us to Oklahoma City where just about all the restaurants in the airport we're closed. When we finally got back on the plane, the pilot had ordered pizza for us. Well done, Southwest Airlines!

Also, during our stop in OKC, Jake ran into a basketball player, Enes Kaner, and stopped to talk to him and to take a picture.
It was a long day!

Made a little more fun by Snapchat filters!
We were so happy to be home but it was a great trip and a great month!
