Noteworthy in November!

These two! Best friends and rivals all at the same time...often within moments of each other!

Allie's birthday gift from Great arrived and she was thrilled that she got mail! She sits and "reads" her magazines and loves it!

The boys headed out to Georgia for the UGA vs. Kentucky game, Jake's first Georgia football game and Jake's special birthday trip with daddy. Click here for Jake's special birthday blog.

Meanwhile, back in Austin, there was only one guy allowed to crash our girl's weekend with happy hour and dinner with Bubba.

Milk and a martini to start the weekend off right! 

After dinner, we went home to host our neighbor and one of Allie's favorite friends, Ella, come for a sleepover. We watched a little TV, played read books and they actually slept. They're so sweet together.

The next afternoon we had a fun play date with Sophie & Penelope. They were in princess gear within minutes of our arrival!

Latest obsession: Jasmine from Alladin.

And she couldn't wait to wear her new pj's to pajama day at school! 

Still loving having a usable backyard!

It was a very busy weekend with the end of soccer season, beginning of basketball, birthday and other parties galore!

After the party and a nap, we tried out family yoga at Studio Mantra! It was so cute!

What a better way to start Jake's birthday than with a donut! Really what more could you want other than a trip to Athens to see the Dawgs play, a new bedding set, dinner with cotton candy, and a sleepover with four of your best buds? For all the birthday action check out Jake's birthday blog!

Our #1 guy!

Another weekend, another birthday party! We were happy to celebrate long-time buddy, Eli, at the dinosaur park. Allie loved digging for fossils with her friends. 

 

That night Allie's ballet class had a Saturday night tea party! They watched the original Alice in Wonderland, ate pizza and made the most adorable fascinators!

So much fun she threw a crazy fit because she didn't want to leave!

Sweet or mid-torture? Sometimes I'm not so sure!

This little turkey wasn't shy on stage at all at the Thanksgiving feast! She's too much! 

On Thanksgiving morning we had breakfast at Kirby Lane and then we hit the park to get some energy out. We were thrilled to run into the Paterson's, who had the same idea. We evaded the rain as long as possible, we were wet but happy!

This Thanksgiving I made something I've never made before, reservations! Next year we'll be back in the Austin-Dallas-Houston rotation with the Toppells and Viviers but for this year it was perfect. Being with Alex, Jake, Allie and Bubba was perfect and I'm so thankful for the time with them. Well, them and a clean house and kitchen!

The next night we had a crazy night out with some of our favorites. I know this blog is mostly about the kids, but this night needs to be documented. From sake bombs to too many bottles of wine, it was fairly epic.

The next morning we were ready for the Georgia vs. Georgia Tech rivalry game and all headed to the Tavern. Jake intently watched the game while Allie played with a little friend, Caroline, and we all wanted to snuggle with Baby Sam!

Technically, he wasn't born until December 1st but I can't wait until the next blog to share pictures of our new nephew (and cousin) Dillon Ray Kleban! 5 weeks early, Dillon was ready to meet the world! Mom, Dad, and Dillon are all doing well. His Aunt, Uncle and "big" cousins can't wait to meet him and love him so much already! 

Eight is Great!

Jake is 8! 

Hard to imagine that big guy, our first baby, is so big! There aren't words to describe how much we love him and love watching him grow into the person he is becoming. Love, love, love him!

Jake particularly loved his gift from Great, a subscription to Sports Illustrated Kids for this crazy fan!

To go with the sports nut theme. But I have to love that the lovies still have prime positioning on his bed! 

Jake was surprised and loved it!

Jake's real birthday gift was a super special trip with Daddy to Athens for his first Georgia game! Both boys loved it!

Remember this picture from the summer? It's Jake and Kenny Gaines, Jake's favorite basketball player. Well, he saw Jake after the game and remembered him! I think that is pretty cool!

Saturday morning was the big event. Jake got to go "between the hedges" and see a Georgia football team. 

And because we're a glutton for punishment, we continued celebrating with a small birthday sleepover. That said, five eight-year old boys is too many! Holy cow, they're crazy! 

This pretty much sums it up! 

Not much sleeping at the sleepover but a great time was had by all! 

Breakfast or proof that they (Alex and I included) made it 

through the night!

Love celebrating our sweet, smart, creative, fun, snugly, 

sports-loving, handsome boy! We're certainly his #1 fans!

So proud of him and can't wait to see what 8 will bring!
