Jake at 6 Points!
Jake was honored on his last night as the eldest boy camper to speak in front of the whole camp about his years at 6 Points. This is something he's had in his sights for sometime now and we're so proud of him!
Usually, June = Camp and Colorado but this year was special and we celebrated my 50th birthday and our 20th anniversary in Portugal. Usually, this blog is just about the kids, but this trip deserves its own post. So, stay tuned!

Sometimes work travel is special and this trip to Jackson Hole was pretty special. Highlights included a gorgeous hotel, time in the city with my work bestie, and a hike up the mountain on the last morning with no bears sighted!

Jake needed a few more volunteer hours, so we spent a great morning with Austin Hope, an organization focused on providing weekend meals to students who lose their subsidized meals offered during the school week.
It was also his birthday!

We had a pretty quiet Thanksgiving! You can see Kirby was pretty excited about the whole situation.
The day after Thanksgiving, Jake and Alex headed to Athens for the final Georgia game of the season.
Allie and I went to see Wicked at the movie theater. As soon as the credits rolled, I check the score of the game and I was shocked to see that the game was in overtime. By the time we got home it was still in overtime. There were an amazing 8 overtimes, happily with the Dawgs winning ultimately 44-42!

As an early Hanukkah present, at the start of winter break, Jake went to Florida to visit friends from camp.
When he came back we headed off on our first (and possibly only) cruise. I wanted something that was fairly short and out of Galveston and didn't require a plane ticket. So we headed out on a 4-night, 5 day cruise with a stop in Cozumel.
The window in Alex and my room was my favorite seat on the whole boat!
Since the cruise was over Hanukkah,
we brought our own cutest menorah.
I will say that they did a great job recognizing Hanukkah. We met Leo, the cruise director, on the first night and he was fantastic. There were a small group of us who were there every night to light the candles and to eat latkes.
