We were excited to start 2024 with so many big things happening: Allie's bat mitzvah, Jake as a driver, my 50th birthday and our 20th anniversary. And, Kirby being Kirby.
We took a whirlwind trip to DC for the bat mitzvah of one of one of my oldest and dearest friend's daughter. We made the most of the weekend with happy hour with my dear cousins, Karen & Elliott, dinner with friends Rachel & Brian (who hosted us for the weekend), drinks with friends Cary and Kara and Ellie's fabulous bat mitzvah. We didn't take nearly enough photos but thanks to the photo booth we got these.
We came back to a freeze! We didn't want Kirby to get cold. He looks just too cute wearing a sweatshirt.
Jake had a BBYO convention (of course no pictures) and Alex had Kirby duty so Allie and I headed out to celebrate Mimi's 75th birthday party!
IYKYK
Silly Cousins!
Allie did everyone's makeup!
Mimi's besties since high school, Bonnie & Janet.
Their special song: I wanna dance with somebody!
Auntie Becca may have helped Dillon to an extra large root beer float!
It's not a trip to Eugene without at Ruby at McMenamins.
More sweatshirts!
Kirby was on theme for Allie's tropical themed Spring dance.
Extremely random but the kids decided they wanted to plant corn. Sadly, it was destroyed by an over zealous gardener. Maybe they'll try again next year!
Annual Bluebonnet Photoshoot when Kirby inevitably pees on the bluebonnets.
The best pics I could get of the solar eclipse. Alex and I were both working from home and tried to watch but had too many clouds.
Pretty cool school field trip to see "Wicked"
Poor Kirby!
