March was actually fairly quiet for us, which was a lovely change.
We started the month out with dinner with some of our favorites! Allie had so much fun playing with Mila!
Pre-soccer lunch secrets!
Sometimes, they're really so sweet together!
Jake's ridiculous but also fantastic spring school pictures! Look at that smile! Even the outfit is starting to grow on me!
You are all my witnesses to Jake's video promise!
Allie and I got to spend a nice morning out at Kiddie Acres
celebrating one of her classmates birthdays! She and Aviya had the best time playing and being big girls by going on the rides by themselves.
Jake's Hanukkah present from Great finally arrived and he LOVES it! Spend the whole afternoon reading every word!
It was a rare treat to be able to peek in on Allie's ballet class.
A little after-school soccer practice.
We started our pretty lame Spring Break (for Jake) by picking them up from school early to go to see Zootopia! It was fun and they were excited and surprised to see us early!
With Bubba, the kids and I checked out the Farmer's Market at the Meuller Development. It was beautiful but poor Jake was pretty miserable so it was a fairly quick trip. It was a beautiful day and did lend itself to some pretty cute pictures!
Just a nice little tea party with Bubba! I think Bubba may be drinking something other than tea!
Most of Jake's spring break was a combo of Camp Bubba, the JCC and coming to my office. He thinks my office is a magical place that always has sweets! And, I wasn't able to prove him wrong as it was Pi Day and someone had brought Pie!
He did learn that going to work is exhausting!
Allie had school that week which we were pretty happy about!
Show and tell is a new special thing that the Giraffes do every Thursday and Allie clearly loves being on "stage."
We got to the hotel first and these two had a great time just exploring the room and the hallways!
We found Mila!
Checking out the view!
A true kids table!
After a fantastic lunch, with wine, we headed to the zoo and met up with our friend Brian and his daughter, Lilly! I'll admit that the zoo was a bit of a fail. It was too late and honestly the kids would have been just as happy to stay at the hotel and play or go to the pool.
Is she happy excited or freaked out? I have no idea!
They were FAST so I didn't get the pictures I had hoped for but they LOVED it!
On Saturday morning, we headed over to surprise Noonie! Papa and Brenna planned a ton of surprises for her! We were first, then Josh and then a party!
These two are always happy to be with Brenna!
Allie now loves dogs and Shiloh!
She even pretends to be one sometimes whose name is Lily!
We got her good!
The bride & groom
With Brenna and Scott
With neices, nephews and grand-nieces and nephews!
We love you Noonie & Papa!
The next morning we had playtime at the Barris house!
Allie and Juliette played with dolls and sort of with each other.
And Jake couldn't wait to get Jonathan and Josh to go outside and play football with them!
We got back to Austin and went straight to work on Jake's homework. He had to read a biography about someone they found interesting and then present a poster with facts about the person. I may have drawn the suit but Jake did the rest!
Thank you, Purim.
You're a great excuse to wear the Halloween costume again!
Allie's mask they made for Purim!
Jake was team captain this week and was part of the coin toss. It was a close one, but they won.
I'm beyond thrilled with how much Alex loves his company Square Root. There is no question why it's on the top of so many Best Places to Work list.
Alex had told me about some of their parties but I was already impressed when Jake and Allie each received a postcard inviting them to the Superhero-themed family fun day!
Checking out daddy's office for the first time!
He's not exactly a pet goat but he comes to visit often and is definitely a mascot!
What a family fun month it was! See you in April!
