Super September

We started out September on a sweet note with some yogurt and a day off of school and work!

Allie and I left the boys for some girl time and pedicures! Girl loves a manicure and pedicure!

After coming back from Dory & Zayde's house, Alex and Jake kept talking about the zucchini spaghetti that Dory made and then I heard from our cousin Jodi about the Vegetti and I had to give it a try! The results have been mixed but anyway to get vegetables in this kid is a win!

Soccer is back and Jake's team, the Blue Wolves is 5-0. Jake's coach says he's the best player in the whole wide world and the smartest, most handsome player ever to wear cleats but Coach Daddy may be a bit biased.

 Jake's cheering section!

Football is also back and we're super happy about that too!

When you're two best friends have birthday parties on the same day there is a high probability for disaster but thankfully Bestie Birthday Saturday turned out to be an awesome day for Allie and her best friends! School-best friend Penelope's party was Saturday morning. The girls had a tea party, went swimming, ate cake and had a blast!

Happy Birthday Penny!
Then after nap we all headed out to celebrate bestie Hailey's birthday!
Besties since (almost) birth!

Jake's unimpressed but liked the video games!

Happy Birthday to sweet Hailey!
Time for cake and ice cream! After seeing this picture I dug in old pics to find the same picture from last year. I hope we have years of this same photo ahead!

1 year ago and so little!

I love when Jake reads to Allie. So sweet! Jake actually just went up to the next level in reading groups which is awesome.

Jake was super excited to go to the Hill Sock Hop despite having absolutely no interest in dressing up for it!

He did however kill it in the hula hoop contest! Please, excuse my shrieking!

So many fantastic photos from Allie's teacher, Dganit. It was hard to choose which ones to share. She's loving the Donkey Room!
Clearly holding court!

They've been talking about mail and made Rosh Hashana Cards to mail out. Parents also sent in cards for the kids.

Bubba came to Shabbat and is becoming a regular at the tot shabbat scene.

They learned about Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur and got to make and taste some of the sweet foods of Rosh Hashana.

Music with Ms. Carol. I how she's getting down with her bad self!

Allie was so excited to show me her Allie collage! She was really proud of it and was showing her friends!

Lots of pictures from the Donkey Room but in 1st grade there is little time for pictures so I was excited to get this group shot from Mrs. Clark.

Brief birthday wishes for a truly Great great-grandma! This was the best take that didn't end up with someone licking the other or running away.

We had a nice Rosh Hashana our first as members of Agudas Achim. It only took us 5 years to join a synagogue but we're liking it and Jake seems to like the religious school too especially the hanging out with his buddies part.

As we got ready to celebrate Allie's 3rd birthday, see special birthday post here, we had special guests come for the party!

Pipi, Brenna and Talia came Saturday morning to Austin to see Jake play some soccer, for Allie's birthday and to hang out! Their timing couldn't have been better as they came straight to the soccer field right in time to watch Jake score a goal! It was awesome and Jake was so excited to see Pipi and Brenna and especially his soccer idol, Talia.

Post-goal hug and chat with Pipi!
And thanks to Bubba (and Talia) staying with the kiddos we actually left the house and went out! A first...usually we've had too much wine to leave the house.

So glad they came to visit! A super fun way to end a fun month!
