April Adventures!

April was a busy month but with our little ones it was fun as always.

We had a fun night with the Riemer's at their house and the night ended as it should with an impromptu dance party led by Shannan.

They're too much!
Alex was out of town for a night and I couldn't quite muster up the energy for dinner so instead we went to our neighborhood place, Austin Terrier.

Our kind of happy hour!

Cheers!
Why sit in the highchair when you can sit underneath it!
Apparently the 5-year old set is very concerned about who is marrying who. We recently found out that Jake wanted to marry a little girl in his class named Jordan but when Jake says her name is sounds more like Jouuuurrrdan and said with a huge smile. The good news for Jake is that Jordan wants to marry him too!

Every once in a while our mornings even have a few extra moments for random cuteness and playtime.

Miss Allie Potato Head?
We went once again this year to what Jake called "Israel's birthday party" which was nice in theory but chaos in actuality. The kids had fun so that made it worth it.

"Milking" a cow!

Allie meets a pony!

It's better then a great movie or TV show, we love watching random cuteness from Jake and Allie.

A little shopping...

Every April my organization has its annual conference. This year it was held in Houston and was also the 50th Anniversary of the organization. It was a big deal and a lot of work. It also means a lot of work for Alex because I'm gone Wednesday - Saturday afternoon. But no surprise, they did great while I was gone. They were also having much more fun that I was with not only long, long, long days but I was very sick on top of it all.

You can imagine how happy I was to be home. Tired but very happy to come and be with these two little monkeys.
They even managed to keep themselves entertained while I rested up!
Jake has continued to take Karate this spring and just got his orange belt! I missed the parents day but thankfully a friend snapped some pictures of Jake getting his belt.

I don't know why but I continue to buy the school pictures. Allie's hair is kind of crazy and the background and the fruit are silly but look at that smile!

And my boy model Jake looks so gorgeous, how could I resist! And look at his graduation picture, cheesy but so handsome!

May is going to be an exciting month with trips to see the Vivier's and Alex and I off to London and Scotland for Gordon & Melissa's wedding and the adventures of Jake and Allie with Mimi and Bubba! Jake is excited because he thinks there is going to be lots of ice cream involved! Can't wait to report all about it!
