Never an Ordinary October

October always starts with celebrating our favorite girl! She was happy to have dinner us, Dorry, Zayde, Uncle Philip at one of her favorite places!
For more about Allie's 7th birthday celebration, you can visit the birthday edition of the blog.
We joined in for National Walk to School Day!
Kirby loved being part of it!

Lots of soccer!
Someone loves her baby!
When you show up on time for Sunday School you get the good seats...on the floor with the Rabbi!

At good friend Wesley's roller skating birthday! She was scared the whole time but after it was all done she absolutely loved it.

She loved it so much that Bubba got her skates for her birthday gift!
Last year for Hanukkah we got Jake this soccer practice goal. I'm glad someone likes it even if it's the dog who likes to sleep on it!

In preparation for the Georgia vs. Florida game, Kirby chomping on his gator!
It was a rainy Halloween but we still managed to get a few houses in! Allie really wanted to be a witch again this year and Jake defaulted to what is easy as he is still deciding whether or not he's too cool to be dressing up!
Go Dawgs (and dog)!

Their favorite part of the night, counting and categorizing their haul!
Happy Halloween!

Allie is 7!

Allie is 7!
Sweet girl continues to amaze us! There aren't enough adjectives to describe the awesomeness that is Allie! We love watching her grow up (although time can slow down a bit) and can't wait to see what this next year holds for her!
We celebrated with a "spa-themed sleep-under" party. A "sleep-under" is an amazing concept where the kids come over in the evening in PJs but go home at the end of the night!
Kirby was a main attraction at the party!
(He's in there behind all the girls)

At the "Relaxation Station"
Mask Time!

Cucumbers, of course!

Cheers!

Poor Kirby didn't quite know what was going on! He loved all the attention but it wore him out!
Cake time!
Thankful for my girlfriends who came and helped paint nails and drank wine with me!
The celebrations continued with a birthday breakfast on October 1st and dinner with Dorry, Zayde and Uncle Phillip!

September Surprise!

2 years!
They've been lobbying for a dog for 2 years!
First, it was just Jake. Then Jake recruited Allie, but she wasn't all in because she worried about what it might do to Blankie! Then it was Jake AND Alex with an assist here and there from Allie!

I finally gave in when I saw this picture!
Meet Kirby Autzen Ramati

September started with a soccer tournament and a plan. Alex was out of town for work most of the Labor Day weekend. So we planned to pick up Kirby after the last game.

Jake's team won 2 of 3 games and lost in the finals. It was so hot and they were tired and really mad that we were going to "go visit a friend" in Temple, TX. Once we got to the car and air conditioning kicked in we told them what was really happening that afternoon!

Time to go home!

 Welcome home, Kirby!
Warning...this blog is very puppy-centric.
But he's so darn cute!
Of course, we had the rainiest September ever with a new puppy!

Photoshoot for daddy!
Kirby's first official playdate! Cricket is Jake's friend and soccer teammate, Evan's pup. Cricket had little to no interest in Kirby and Kirby was interested in everything!
Celebrating very good friend Penelope's birthday!
Lovey boys!
First bath!
Favorite seat in the house!
Waiting at soccer practice for Jake

Loves sleeping on the coffee table!
He loves the hammock!

Walks with Kirby!

Hanging in Kirby's apartment aka Kirby's Klub!

Meeting Dixie! Dixie also had no interest in Kirby. But she was a good sport and let him play.

1st vet visit!
Why can't I go upstairs?
Cuddle time with Jake!
Wait, whose bed is this?
Exploring everything!
He loves his people and his people love him!
One month of Kirby and we survived!
