July Update!

July was fun and fast!

This scene was quite common as we've changed up the play room to be a little older for Jake. Also, this couch faces a giant tv on the wall that is attached to a play station. Jake is a happy boy!

While Jake & Dylan played, we enjoyed having his parents for shabbat dinner.

It's still really hot here but whenever I can, I love being in our backyard. I can't wait for Fall to really break it in!

Happy 4th of July!
Allie & Penelope joined me for the neighborhood parade!

We found a few friends, loved waving the flag and finding the candy from the parade floats!

After the parade, we met Jake and Alex back at Penelope's house for some pool time. Always love hanging out with these favorites!

Cupcakes & a hose to wash them off!

Great picture of the dad's but somehow we forgot to take a picture with the girls!

Bestie time at the park!

That same weekend we went to see Secret Lives of Pets with the kiddos. They loved it!

More playstation-ing! Friends and new neighbors Alex and his sister Brooke came to play while mom packed for the move!

This girl! She decided that pink bear needed to have a naming ceremony for baby bear!

First sports injury for our little sport! He was playing goalie during a soccer game and injured his pinky! Nothing was broken and with the help of a little tape, healed itself. He loved looking at his bones and thought that was pretty cool!

We had an uncharacteristically unplanned weekend and it was lovely! We headed to an almost empty pool at the JCC and followed up our afternoon with a sweet treat!

Sweet Caroline's Snowshack has some pretty great Sno-cones!
Jake thought his tongue was pretty colorful
but Allie definietly wins this one!

A hair-cut for Allie turned into a mini spa day for my mini-me!

We had a super nice Friday night with 3/4 of the Riemers over for Shabbat. It was so sweet to see Jake & Jacob who have been friends since they were 3 playing together.

And then there are these two!
Max was/is her first and biggest crush (to date).

Max showing Allie PokemonGo!

In preparation of the Olympics (and Lizzie's bday party)!

July was great but we're ready for the olympics, vacation and even school starting up again...well some of us anyhow!

June Love!

June began and school ended!
It was a great year but it went by so quickly!

Look how much they grew this year!

Last day of school Giraffe breakfast!
What a wonderful class this was.

She loved being a giraffe so much!

The week after school ended we headed to North Carolina to see Dory, Zayde and Uncle Phillip.

Traveling with kids!

When we got on the second plane to Raleigh, the pilots were awesome. They let Jake and Allie come into the cockpit and then when we were in our seats, they gave them a shout-out.

Our first outing was to Pullen Park! It's a beautiful park with a classic carousel that Allie especially loved!

Jake was less enthralled with the carousel.

But really he liked it.

We all did!

Next we tried the paddle boats, which we're really fun!

That night the boys went to a Durham Bulls game while the girls had a lovely and leisurely dinner and night at home!

The next day we headed to the
North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences.
We petted hissing cockroaches and other creepy crawlies, enjoyed the butterfly garden and much more! It's a very well done museum.

On Friday we ended up at Frankie's Fun Park! It was an amusement park, arcade, mini-golf and more rolled up into one!

We we're excited to have Shabbat dinner at Dory and Zayde's house. Allie was excited to help set the table for dinner.

Pre-dinner photo session

Photo session part II before we headed off to the airport!

Jake's souvenir from the trip! It was a great visit and we loved the time with everyone as well as the exploring we got to do as our little family of 4!

We got home on Saturday afternoon and early Saturday our little sport was back at it for his first indoor soccer league game.

The Lakeline Soccer Zone is awesome! You can sit up above and watch the game. You can even do it with a beer!

Here's where Jake scored! Glad that he had those white socks on!
It's also great because Allie has a playmate and loves
getting to see her friend, Sadie.

Jake's new favorite room! The playroom got an update. Bubba's loveseat and a desk upgraded it from baby playroom to some what bigger kid room.

He also really likes what's on the wall across from him. Jake earned a play station with his own money. He made some smart fiscal decision-making when he sold some toys that he wasn't playing with anymore.

Picking up Jake from camp. I love watching him in his element!

We were excited to have Mimi come to visit! We had a great time but I did a horrible job of taking pictures. Guess we were having too much fun or dealing with my car which died twice during her visit. (it's all good now but I may have aged another year from yelling at their horrible customer service.)

We found Dory...the fish, not the Grandma.

My girl took me (well, she went with me) for a birthday mani-pedi.

We celebrated my birthday with a soccer game, a great breakfast out, a nap and a super fun dinner with a small group of friends. Being with Alex, my littles, my mom & dad and good friends made it was a really perfect birthday and weekend!
