Joyful January

Happy New Year! Happy 2016!
This year is starting out pretty nicely for our little foursome!

We had a really fun impromptu New Year's Day family playdate with the Burton Family. Charlie and Jake are in the same class and are now on the same flag football team. Charlie has a little sister, Dovey, who Allie clicked with right away and a very sweet mom and dad who we both really like! The boys played games and watched football and as you can see below, the girls got into ballerina gear and put on a show!

Of course, both Oregon and Georgia had bowl games on the same day! So first stop, The Tavern to watch the Dawgs beat Penn State in their bowl game.

An outfit change and 80 miles later, we were in San Antonio to watch the Ducks take on TCU. It was so fun to take Jake to his first Duck game and his first bowl game!

Let's Go Ducks!

The first half was AMAZING! The second half, not so much! We can't say it wasn't an exciting game, despite the loss! The best part of the game was Jake's take on it, he said it was super fun and he was lucky to even be the game! I think the ice cream also helped!

Meanwhile, Allie was having a blast at a sleepover at Hailey's house. I'd say "poor Ryan" but it looks like he was having a good time too and was probably super happy to be allowed to play with the big girls!

Allie loves Toby! Quite a change from just a year ago!
Smores!
The following weekend, Allie and I headed to San Franciso to meet Baby Dillon! Allie was a great traveling companion.

Amazing car service in San Francisco will pick you up in a sedan with a car seat! Does anyone want to start a business with me?

So sweet to see Allie with the baby. She really would like a little sister or as she has said, "even a little brother" but since that isn't happening, Dillon is the very best alternative! I can't wait to see Dillon and Jake next month when Rachel and Dillon come to Austin!

Allie shows Dillon how "tummy time" is done!

Now Bubba & Mimi x3!

Just a little rest with Auntie Rachel!

We headed out to explore a bit and found thrones fit for a princess and a queen at the park by Rachel's house.

We rode the subway. It was Allie's first time on Bart, Dillon is already a pro!

After lunch, some shopping and about a million rides on the merry-go-round, we headed home!

 Feeding time!

Allie and I went to meet Libby, Phil and Hannah at a park and then for a little snack! It was so fun to see them all! And Libby joined us on Sunday which was a great treat to have a little extra time with her!

Sunday was the party for Dillon and it was so fun to see family and friends! Allie with my cousin, Jeremy. Jeremy is a vet and Allie thought that was pretty cool. He's giving Rosebud a check-up!

Bubba, Adrienne, Mimi and Jeremy

With cousin Emily!

With cousins Jeff & Megan!

Loved getting to hang out with Warren's sisters,

Adrienne had the very important job of making sure Great saw everything at the party! We missed her but was so glad she could see the naming and be there in some way!

While the girls were in SF, the boys were in San Antonio for the U.S. Army-All American game. They've had tickets for the game for months and this is the second year that they've gone for the game to see the premier high school students (many of whom were considering Georgia.) Quite a nice tradition they've started. They went with a bunch of Austin Dawgs and had a great time!

This is Jacob Eason, UGA's next QB &
Jacob Ramati wanna-be QB.
Jacob Eason's birthday is November 17.
Jacob Ramati's birthday is November 17.

Jake was so excited to finally meet his birthday twin and I hear that Mr. & Mrs. Eason wanted to adopt Jacob Ramati!

Jacob Eason and buddy Ben Cleveland with Jake!

Jake and Isaac Nauta, the #1 tight end and now a Georgia Bulldog!

#1 Mechole Hardman Jr., the #1 athlete in the country and now also a Georgia Bulldog!

With Julian Rochester! Man, that's one big Dawg!

With Austin friends, Stacy and Billy and Jacob Eason on the field.

The rest of our January weekends were focused on Jake's basketball and flag football games. This is how Allie does Sporty Saturday!

A little b-ball and straight into football!

That weekend, our little party girl had two very fun birthday parties. First, our neighbor Ella's 6th birthday party. Allie was thrilled to be hanging with the big girls. She and Ella could not be sweeter together. They hug every time they see each other at the JCC or anywhere and play so well together. So Allie was happy to celebrate her birthday especially in PJ's with lovies!

The next morning was Sophie's Royal Tea Party birthday and our little Princess was more than just a little excited! The party was adorable and Sophie's mom, Allison, did an amazing job! It was just darling!

We were greeted by a princess (Sophie's cousin) who did their nails.

And then there was crazy balloon art! Check out Allie's Ariel!

Sharing secrets with the birthday girl, Sophie.

In an effort to save Jake from having to go to a princess party since Alex left for a work trip to NYC that morning. Jake got to hang out with his buddy Dylan after Sunday school and got Amy's ice cream too!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the Best Daddy these two
munchkins could have asked for!

Happy Birthday to Uncle Phillip this month too!
And we wish you a very speedy recovery!

Another weekend, another party! This time our good friend, Millie's 4th birthday party! This was one of the coolest places I've seen in a long time. It's an art studio where the kids come and make their own canvas. How cool to be able to throw paint around and not get yelled at!

Jake's is loving football and his team is doing well. He's also learning a ton from Coach Mike!

Allie and I rushed from football to a birthday party only to realize that the party wasn't until the following week. Oops. Since the boys were out we made an impromptu playdate for Allie with Penelope and me with Clara.

After Penny's, we went for mani/pedis and grabbed dinner out. Girls afternoon complete!

Alex and Jake rushed off after football too but they headed to Waco to watch the Dawgs play Baylor in basketball. Unfortunately, the Dawgs lost but they had a great time and got to hang out with some favorite friends from Dallas.

Look at that smile! See you next month
