October Fun!

Best way to start this month is with my mini-me's  birthday!
We love her so much!

For Allie's birthday she got a very special surprise!

Allie wanted a paint-your-own pottery party. I was thrilled because it was the first time in years that we haven't had her party at our house.

We had a special girls lunch with both her Grandmas!

Dory also had a special birthday surprise for Allie. This cake was fantastic!

We were so sad about the loss of Alex's Aunt Helen. I first met her when she and Uncle Albert came to the states and we joined them for a weekend. Helen was just lovely! A spitfire with a wicked sense of humor and fun to be around. Alex and I visited her in London and had the nicest time seeing her, even though she told us if the kids weren't with us we shouldn't have even bothered.
Mid-day cuddles with Kirbs!

Neighbors getting ready for Halloween!
Kirby's not so sure about these decorations!

My handsome guy!
LOVE this sign at school!
More soccer!
And practicing with Coach Kirby!
Jake played in a Halloween soccer tournament! They were Team VSCO Girls and had the best time playing and hanging out together!

After the tournament, the kids can trick-or-treat at all the tents. Allie was happy to join for this part!

Amazingly there was no filter on this picture. Just a beautiful Texas sunset!

Ready for Halloween!

See a dog and a cat can be friends!
Jake took off with friends as a tween should do and Allie and I headed to see school friends and then trick or treat with some besties.

Reunited at the end of the night for their annual candy sort and exchange!

Happy Halloween!

September Reflections

I thought about skipping September because most of it was about saying goodbye to my dad but that doesn't mean that there weren't some wonderful moments to be shared.

With neighbor pup, Willow!

With their blankies!
So handsome!

Ready for the annual Sock Hop at Hill Elementary!

With her girls!

Kirby enjoying some Georgia football!
Henry Henry came back from Eugene to live with us. Bubba had picked him up and had intended for the kids to have him. We just got him sooner than we would have liked.
Looking sharp for Rosh Hashana dinner at Dory and Zayde's.

Kirby and I got caught in a rain storm!
