October was fun but so busy! Lots of Allie's birthday, soccer and fun school events.
We did have a couple of days off and Allie was beyond excited to be able to go and see Ms. Leslie, our very loved Pre-K teacher!
Soccer practice for Jake!
Allie's Consecration at Temple Beth Shalom.
This was new to me since Jake didn't start Sunday school until 1st grade but it was a lovely way to welcome them to learning in the congregation. It was also Simchat Torah so it was a big celebration (and not a bad way to have a full house for the holiday.)
We had some girl time and did a little shopping. I already had mine but loved the chance to match my mini!
Love seeing our friends at the JCC.
We had 2 special visitors come to Austin! We had a great time and actually left the house, more than once, and took surprisingly few pictures!
Kids had a day off and since I'm still (happily) working from home, we worked and played for the day. They played educational games and I got work done. #parentingwin
That afternoon Jake and I finally got out for some tennis. He's been wanting to play for the longest time. It was fun and he took to it well. Allie and Bubba came too and Bubba took a few good swings as well.
They sleep so differently! Jake under all the blankets (well not his feet) and Allie can't keep a blanket on her, except for blankie, of course.
And sometimes they sleep exactly the same way!
After her first guitar lesson, a special package arrived from Dorry & Zayde!
Georgia has adopted Jake's favorite word!
Allie at Mila's Halloween themed birthday!
From the birthday party to the Hill Fall Carnival!
With Hill BFF, Emily!
At the silly-string roundup!
What siblings wouldn't love the chance for this?!
He wanted pink hair & so did she!
Time for some football. Photo credit: Jake
Very cold Sunday soccer!
Last Pink Popsicles game and team party!
Allie had her first guitar lesson with Geno! She loved it.
Poor Jake! He rolled his ankle one too many times. We're lucky to have a friend who is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon. And it's really helpful when you're on his route home! We went to the office the next day to get the boot, mostly to prevent more stress and to immobilize the ankle for 3 weeks or so! Update coming in November.
Happy Halloween!
Good little witch!
Our poor little injured football player!
Love the traditional sorting and swapping of the candy!
Happy November!
