April Adventures

April is always a busy month! My organizations annual meeting is always in April and takes up a good chunk of the month.

We started the month celebrating Passover and a lovely Seder at our house. Of which, of course I didn't take pictures of! Next year!

The Superhero fascination continues but I have to admit I may have given in to it a bit. Batgirl & Batmommy save the world!

Poor Jakey. Had a sick day and fell asleep waiting for me to come back downstairs.

Allie joined in when she got home from school.

Allie and I headed out to celebrate Ryan's 1st birthday! Allie and Hailey were the princesses of the castle.

And then there is this guy! Happy Birthday Ry-guy!

Allie had a pajama day at school and was beyond excited to wear her Elsa nightgown. Turns out Millie was excited to wear hers as well!

We were excited to "shower" our friend Andrea in anticipation of her baby coming soon. The moment we found out she was pregnant I put all our baby Georgia stuff aside for her. I loved putting together these goodies for her and to pass on the magic yellow "basket" to her. I hope it gives Andrea and baby as many restful naps and nights as it did for us with Allie.

At classmate Yonah's gymnastics birthday party. Note to self: Never plan a birthday party during nap!

Sometimes they're so sweet together!

Allie's Audrey Hepburn moment. Doesn't everyone look like this as a soccer spectator?

Sharing snacks and toys with Max Rapaport.

Our Soccer stud!

In a moment of temporary insanity I agreed that we should join friends on a trip to Sea World in San Antonio the weekend before my conference which is also in San Antonio. So after our conference work day on Saturday we headed to San Antonio to meet up with the Helfman, Chitre and Martasin Families.

We met them at a fun Mexican restaurant with plenty of margaritas which probably let to the acceptability of "tortilla face".

Our little brunette trio. Sweet friends Allie, Mila & Livi

Once we were back at the hotel we changed for a PJ party! It was a good thing it was a noisy hotel. We went through a few bottles of wine while the kiddos enjoyed some stories and some Netflix.

The next morning!

At Sea World!

Watching the Sesame Street show! The marketing between Sea World and Sesame Street was incredible. Evil geniuses!

Down in the "mash-pit" to do a little dancing with Elmo & friends.

Jake and I rode the Shamu roller coaster. So fun to see his face!

Merry-Go-Round!

Alex rode the slowest ride in the world with Eli and Allie. They however...loved it.

And of course we saw Shamu. Watching the kids faces during the show was amazing and totally worth the crazy weekend.

While I was at my conference Alex was sweet enough to send me these pictures of these sweet faces.

No wonder I was so very happy to get home!

We had a visitor from Eugene later that week. We were happy to have Jan stop by on her Texas tour for the night. Allie especially took right to her. I think Allie knew that Jan was one of Mimi's best friends. She said it was almost like having Mimi here.

I got to see Jake at his Sports Day. Love watching him in his element --so cute!

Looking forward to May! See you then.

March Madness!

We started March on a Super Sunday with some Super Besties! Allie has shared her love of all thing Super with Hailey!

Meanwhile, Jake and Alex were at the Texas Stars hockey game having a great time with Ben and John Menfi.

Have I mentioned how Super-obsessed Allie is with all things Super Hero? Maybe she'll give Jake his books back one day!

Soccer season is here and the Human Highlighters are on the field!

After soccer and a nap Allie and I went out to our friend Ana's birthday celebration at the Jester King Brewery. We had fun celebrating Ana and especially hanging out with our neighbors from down the street Laura and Ella. Allie and Ella had a great time exploring!

Bubba went to the the "Under the Sea" book fair at Hill and saw Jake and some of his friends!

Not that it should surprise to anyone but Allie was Supergirl for Purim. Bubba got these great pictures during the Purim shabbat parade.

Supergirl checking out Batgirl's cape!
First graders in bloom! The bluebonnets have arrived! Love this picture Mrs. Clark sent of the class.

We may have a Supergirl but her Super Bubba braved getting her to nap!

Jake loved March Madness this year and couldn't get enough of it. He even filled out his own bracket for the first time.

Even Super Heroes need haircuts!

March showers bring a new umbrella for Miss Allie.

and she's kind of obsessed with it!

Jake had spring break with a combo of JCC camp and Camp Bubba! On the last day of his break he went with Bubba to shabbat at ECP. Allie was so happy that they were there.

Alex headed off to Vegas for a few days with our friend Mike who is more commonly known as Hailey's daddy. Those of us in the Ramati and Gray families who didn't go to Vegas got together on Saturday morning for a playdate. And that night Mollie and I met up for our first outing without children or husbands!

Jake continued to be obsessed with March Madness and was pumping a little iron while watching the games. Honestly, I have no idea what was going on here but it was too funny to not capture.

We had a visit from sweet Baby Abigail and her parents that afternoon as well. Jake and Allie loved getting to hold and help feed her.

Jake was geared up and ready to watch the Oregon vs. Wisconsin and Diller sister vs. Diller sister match-up. We didn't think it would be easy but Jake and I were ready. It was a great game and if the Ducks had to loose we were happy that the Badgers made it all the way to the championship and we were rooting for Auntie Rachel and Uncle Warren's Badgers!

We bid a sad farewell to our sweet babysitter Taylor with a fun dinner with her and the Gray's. We first met "My Taylor" (as Allie calls her) at Allie's first school where she also met her BFF Hailey. She's off to get married and start a new adventure. We'll miss her but are so excited for her!

The next weekend started with soccer and the Human Highlighters. Jake and buddy Dylan posing after the game.

After soccer Allie and I ran over to meet her friend Sophie and her mom and baby sister at the park. We were having so much fun that we forgot to take pictures.

That afternoon the Human Highlighters took their team picture. Missing: Avi & Jeremy

And another round of school pictures:
2014-2015 Donkey class

Poor Jakey. Even though he's taking allergy drops he's still suffering as are so many people. He was with me at the chiropractor and we asked her to see if she could do anything for him. He giggled through the whole thing, he was adorable.

Love this picture and these two!

A few more from the Donkey class:
Just making some Purim puppets
There's just something so John Hughes movie about this picture
Clearly she hated having her picture taken
Accessorizing with the girls

Even Super Girl deserves a break in the sun!
Jake and his class ended March with a super fun field trip to Pease Park (right by Bubba's house) for some fossil hunting and exploring. Fun stuff!

Happy Spring!
